 | Mother's Birthday Waltz A waltz written for the piano by a young Ernest, for his mother, Lillie. It is in pencil with many rubbings out and the manuscript now tattered. It was treasured by his mother, then handed down in the family. This delightful recording was kindly made in January 2018 by the Australian musician Louise Bell, with the comment: " I did change one note: I think he intended a B natural in the 3rd last bar but didn’t write it in. It sounds strange with a B flat for this style and era."

 | Patricia Stanley-Low's mural at Chorleywood Painted when she was a young girl, it depicts King Edward 11 of England, his favourite companion Piers Gaveston, 1st Earl of Cornwall and on the right his wife Isabella who he married in 1308.
The stained glass windows tell the story: "Pity Piers Gaveston, died May 1312." However his death is recorded elsewhere as 19th June 1312. More information: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Piers_Gaveston,_1st_Earl_of_Cornwall
Photographed in 2007 in Chorleywood where Patricia and her sister Mary grew up.
