Recordings |
 | Mother's Birthday Waltz A waltz written for the piano by a young Ernest, for his mother, Lillie. It is in pencil with many rubbings out and the manuscript now tattered. It was treasured by his mother, then handed down in the family. This delightful recording was kindly made in January 2018 by the Australian musician Louise Bell, with the comment: " I did change one note: I think he intended a B natural in the 3rd last bar but didn’t write it in. It sounds strange with a B flat for this style and era." |
